The SEP endorses a wide range of quality sports education programmes for students, categorised into Sports Exposure, Sports Play, Sports Development and Sports Leagues. Programmes endorsed under SEP may have certifications, badges, qualifications, and skill awards included. Schools may check with the respective National Sports Associations (NSAs) , where applicable, if such awards are recognised by the NSA. We would like to re-iterate the following to all Schools- a) Prior to the engagement of sports service providers: i) To verify that the sports programme is listed as an endorsed programme under SEP 2010/11 ii) The instructor-to-student ratio as stated on the SEP Portal is only a general guide for the Schools. Schools are to work with programme providers to decide upon the optimal instructor-to-student ratio based on the needs of the students. iii) The Schools are not to alter the contents of the event(s) / programme(s) endorsed under the SEP and such contents include the name, category , sports type, and session description b) Before the conduct of Programme: i) Coach(es)/Instructor(s) conducting the programme is/are listed as eligible for the endorsed programme under SEP 2010/2011. ii) Check that the coach(es) relevant first aid certification(s) is/are still valid at the point of conduct. iii) Number of eligible coach(es)/instructor(s) must meet the coach/instructor-to-student ratio for the indicated group size (e.g., an Event/Programme needs 2 eligible coaches if the ratio stated is 1:10 with a indicated group size of 20) iv) Must ensure that all important and necessary safety procedures and safeguards are properly designed and put in place when conducting the event(s)/programme(s) [Please refer to ANNEX A under SEP Schools Agreement]. c) After the Programme: i) Obtain soft copies of invoices with indication of the SEP Endorsed Programme Name & Programme ID as listed in the SEP portal from the Sports Service Providers. ii) Schools must login to update their draft Programme Report on http://sep.ssc.gov.sg within two (2) weeks after completion of the event(s)/programme(s). The Programme Report should be submitted as final at the end of the year. iii) Schools must login to the SEP website to submit a feedback of the endorsed event(s)/programme(s) conducted within two (2) weeks after the completion of each of the event(s) / programme(s). Schools are to report on ineligible coach(es) conducting event(s)/programme(s) who are not registered under the SEP 2010 programme(s). All such reports are to be emailed to ssc_sep@ssc.gov.sg We seek your assistance to ensure that all teachers/personnel overseeing the conduct of SEP programmes adhere to all the above.
